The PCC Professional Certificate Program is a year-long program focused on developing skills, knowledge, and experience in the area of person-centered care. Our curriculum includes 11 one-hour live remote sessions, enabling participants to gain a deep understanding of core person-centered care principles and concepts. Those skills will then be put into practice through the completion of a PCC Improvement Capstone Project at the conclusion of the program.

The PCC Professional Certificate Program is an intensive program for those interested in improving healthcare through person-centered care. Participants can expect to gain the knowledge and experience needed to lead person-centered care implementation efforts competently and confidently.
Healthcare professionals and person-centered care advocates who are looking to take their PCC implementation, advocacy and thought leadership skills to the next level. The successful participant will be proficient in the English language.
The initial cohort size will be a minimum of 10 participants, with a maximum of 25 participants.
Throughout the 12-month program, all 11 required courses will be 100% online. Classes will be recorded for later viewing to accommodate a global group of participants.
There will be optional in-person sessions offered at the 2023 Planetree International Conference, October 8-11 in Boston, MA. Participants in the PCC Professional Certificate Program will receive a 20% discount on their full conference registration pass to attend the event.
The PCC Professional Certificate Program modules include:
1. A short online application to collect applicants’ demographic data and contact information.
2. A Statement of Interest: What do you aim to achieve through participation in this program and why is person-centered care important to you? (500 words max.) Successful applicants will write at least 300 words.
3. Curriculum vitae/Résumé/Bio: Applicants are prompted to upload a PDF file of their CV or resume.
*Members include individuals that are currently employed by a Planetree member healthcare organization or hold an active individual Planetree membership

Upon acceptance into the program, admitted applicants will receive instructions on submitting program fees. All payments will be made online via Planetree’s PayPal account. Course payments are required in full to confirm registration prior to commencing the course.
Participants in the PCC Professional Certificate Program have the opportunity to earn up to 12 credits toward the Fellow in Person-Centered Care professional credential.
